  • What COVID-19 precautions are you taking?
Thank you for your, and our, safety and health concerns. We have masks and gloves for anyone who may want PPE that did not bring it on the day of your excursion. We have additional anti bacterial hand gel on site. We provide all necessary equipment for each individual. All of our equipment is washed down each day so that when you arrive you always have clean gear for personal use. We take your health and safety seriously.
  • There are many air charters that go to the same locations you feature why go with Ursus Alaska ?
The air charters’ main focus are safe flying. They employ seasonal guides with varied experience at the locations we feature. Simply stated you are paying for our guiding experience. We put the energy and commitment needed into every trip to make it memorable. Experience is everything and we have that working for you. Our trips are not like anyone elses.
  • We are staying in Anchorage can we make a day trip to your location?
The short answer is yes, however, count on a 2½ to 3 ½ hour drive each direction pending summer traffic to the floatplane lake. It does make for a long day if you plan to come down from Anchorage and return after your fly in adventure. One of the advantages is that you save hundreds of dollars per person on selected excursions. We suggest you spend the night at a local B&B or lodge and can assist on setting that up.
  • What is your cancelation policy?

  • Do we get to do a glacier flight on the the fly-in?
Yes! Occasionally weather prevents us from flying over the glaciers but when that is the case we often look for bears and moose. With Ursus Alaska everyone gets a window seat! You will find that is not the case with some air charters because of the configuration of the airplanes. We book your group accordingly so we can acommodate this highlight of your trip.

Remember we are a father and son business! Of course kids can come on our adventures. We have no age limit. If you are comfortable bringing your child (children) along we welcome them to experience Alaska. We have to charge for every passenger regardless of age due to insurance requirements.

  • Are fishing licenses provided?
Fishing licenses are NOT included in the trip cost. All anglers over 15 years of age need a fishing license. Great question! We deal with this situation a few times every summer. Safety is our number one priority always. If the flying conditions are not safe we do not fly. In the event we must cancel due to weather, you will be rescheduled if possible or will receive a full refund. Please note we do not cancel flights because of rain. You must check-in with us the day of your trip and we will make any weather cancelation determinations in real time with you present.
